The Seniors Services Program is a drop-in resource centre that assists seniors age 60+, their families, caregivers and the community to access services which enable seniors to maintain an independent lifestyle.  We rely heavily on the support of many volunteers to provide our services.

Farmer's Market Nutrition Couon Program

The Farmer's Market Nutrition Coupon Program provides a limited number of low-income seniors with coupons for fresh, locally produced food.

Hearing Aids

We partner with Rockwell Audiology in Vernon to deliver the RAILProgram, a hearing aid loaner program for low income seniors in the North Okanagan. 

Housing Information

Affordable housing? Assisted Living? Residential Care? We can help you navigate seniors housing in our area. We can also help with applications for SAFER and the BC Housing Registry. Read more

Income Tax Clinic

The Seniors Services Program has trained volunteers who complete basic tax returns for low-income seniors. We also provide a tax clinic during the months of March and April. Read more

Library At Your Door

In partnership with the Okanagan Regional Library’s Vernon Branch, this is a free service for seniors in Coldstream and Vernon living independently in their own residence and who are unable to visit the library due to illness, infirmity or disability.  Library materials are delivered to your door by volunteer drivers and picked up again in three weeks. Making Spirits Bright

We help low income seniors have a happy holiday season by distributing gifts and hampers donated to us by businesses and individuals in the community. Donations always appreciated! 

Resources

We provide a large inventory of printed resources for seniors and can refer you to appropriate agencies for legal, tenancy and elder abuse issues. 

Snow Removal

Each year, we provide a list of individuals and companies in our area that provide snow removal services at affordable rates.  For seniors that cannot afford to pay, we do our best to find a volunteer to help.

Transportation Information

We have a list of several transportation options if you are a senior needing a ride.
